There were not too many world premieres at the 2006 New York Auto Show however; there were plenty of interesting new vehicles and technology to excite consumers and enthusiasts. Of those who exposed new vehicles, Lexus unveiled its new 2008 LS 600h L hybrid luxury sedan. Bentley made its North American debut with its 2007 Continental GTC convertible. Many of the vehicles shown this year were of cutting-edge innovative and design, others just a few steps away from production, but all provide a window on the future of automobile design and technology. In addition, more than 43 vehicle manufacturers featured over 1000 new cars, trucks, minivans and SUVs. The New York Auto Show is an adventure with contests and lots of new demos to view, all within the big apple. It is an eye opener to what to expect from the automotive industry in the coming years.
