The Greater Los Angeles Auto Show is an annual auto show that takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. The show has been held annually since 1907. The first show took place at Morley's Skating Rink in downtown Los Angeles, only four blocks from the current Convention Center location. The show traditionally took place in early January, but was moved to December so as not to be overshadowed by the North American International Auto Show. The move took place this year 2006, with two LA shows held, one in January and another in December. Beginning with the December, 2006 show, the Los Angeles show will be only the second International Auto Show in the United States to be officially recognized by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles. With a special spot on the international calendar, it is likely that the LA show will become host to more vehicle introductions than before.
