The Chicago Auto Show (CAS) was first staged in 1901. It is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times then any other auto exposition on the continent. As the nation's largest auto show it spans across 1.3 million square feet in the McCormick Place complex. Various world and North American introductions were put forth for viewers to see. The special features offer an inclusive range of domestic and imported passenger cars and trucks, sport utility vehicles, and concept cars. In total, nearly 1,000 different vehicles are exhibited. Numerous accessories and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles, antique and collector cars are available to view. Amongst many the all-new Toyota Tundra full-size pickup made its world debut at the Chicago Auto Show.  Mercedes-AMG unveiled the brand-new R 63 AMG in 2006, powered by the new AMG 6.3-litre V8 with an output of 510 horse power. Amid the platforms for the new models some special guests have appeared. Racing legend Mario Andretti and current Indy 500 champion Dan Wheldon, were taking questions at the Bridgestone display as well as many other appearances by sports, radio, TV and screen personalities. The 1911 Marmon Wasp that won the very first Indianapolis 500 drew a big crowd around Mr. Wheldon.
